We all paint the same painting in order to learn from each other. I usually choose a different flower once a year. Painting the same thing over and over, in my case, means the paintings get better and better. At the end of a year I have to change to something else because I start getting bored with doing the same thing over and over. I think both women did a wonderful job!
I just finished this painting on Monday. Unfortunately, my camera doesn’t seem to be working so used my cell phone to take this picture. It’s not so great. Anyway, here is it. At the moment, it has a very simple name until I can think of something more clever. “Yellow Roses”, oil on canvas, 3′ x 4′ x 2″.
I am not exactly sure how or why but when I work out I sweat in the shape of a heart. It has been happening for years now. I tell people that it is because I have a lot of love to give!!!
I just finished this painting on Friday. It is oil on canvas, 3′ x 4′. I definitely need to come up with a better title than “pink roses”! My problem with titles is that I don’t like literary titles (a rose is a rose is a rose) or obscure titles (The Belgian Encounter) or sexual (Velvet Embrace). I usually stick with the simple title. I will report back after I have decided…
This is Potter. What a cute dog! I sure hope the client liked it. I don’t know because I haven’t heard back, yet…
“Non clamor sed amor, non vox sed votum, non cordula sed cor, psallit in aure dei.”
Not a clamor but love.
Not talking but a pledge.
Not fear but heart.
Make music in the ear of God!
I just finished the background on my current painting. You can see the under painting (flat pink wash and more detailed wash on leaves and glass jar). I am currently working on the rose petals. It is fairly large at 3 feet by 4 feet.
